Comprehensive and Compassionate

Specializing in trauma, occupational injuries, sports injuries, and age associated conditions

The Minnesota Center for Orthopaedics specializes in treating patients for injuries and
diseases of the body’s musculoskeletal system, including bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles and nerves. The specialists care for patients of all ages, with issues from clubfeet to sports injuries to hip or knee disorders
and arthritis.

Our team of physicians, physician assistants, a nurse practitioner, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and rehabilitation therapists work together to provide comprehensive orthopaedic care. Specialists work closely with primary care physicians and other health care providers, including rheumatology, neurology, pain management and physical/occupational therapy for an integrated approached to patient’s musculoskeletal health. The center is equipped with the latest technology available in orthopaedic diagnostics and treatment.

Orthopaedic surgeons manage special problems of the musculoskeletal system:

  • Diagnosis of the injury or disorder
  • Treatment with medication, exercise, surgery or other treatment plans
  • Rehabilitation by recommending exercises or physical/occupational therapy to restore movement
  • Prevention with information and treatment plans to prevent injury or slow the progression of diseases

Located at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby, CRMC’s Clinic in Baxter, and Riverwood Healthcare Center in Aitkin; MCO is a partnership program that pools the talents, technologies and resources of two great communities and medical centers to provide a higher level of orthopaedic care for the entire region.  Patients can enjoy the support of family and friends close to home as they undergo surgery, rehabilitate an injury, or take on physical therapy.

At MCO, our mission is to be the premier orthopaedic service to patients throughout rural Minnesota, providing the most up-to-date, evidence-based practices to the patients we serve.

MCO is committed to providing outstanding, compassionate care to help patients recover from a broad range of orthopaedic and sports medicine injuries. Along with the treatment of acute or chronic problems, MCO strives to integrate the doctrine of prevention in all treatment plans as a way to alleviate possible future difficulties.
